Product Information
This intumescent gasket is specifically designed to fit within recessed metal boxes that house electrical wires, offering a fire-resistant seal. It is perfect for use in brickwork, blockwork, or plasterboard walls. When exposed to heat, the gasket expands to fill gaps, improving fire safety and preventing the spread of flames.
These fire protection gaskets for metal boxes are lightweight and flexible, allowing for custom hole cutting to accommodate wires and cables. They can be trimmed to fit most socket boxes and feature a self-adhesive backing for easy installation. Tested to BS476 Part 22 (1987), this product provides up to 4 hours of fire resistance in solid walls and 71 minutes in cavity walls. It also demonstrated 90 minutes of fire resistance when tested to EN1364-1 2015.

Meteor Electrical Limited will accept returns up until 14 days after dispatch date on the conditions
- The Goods are in all original packaging
- The materials contain all original documentation (instructions, manuals, warranties or any other literature)
- Product is deemed by our returns department to be in a re-sellable condition
All refunds are made to the same payment method used originally to place the order (e.g. VISA Card) - unless specifically requested otherwise.
Faulty Products
- Products that are faulty must be returned within the manufacturer’s warranty period.
- The complete product must be returned, unless previously agreed by Meteor Electrical in writing; incomplete items of parts may not be returned.
