Outside of Bathroom Zones 1 and 2, the unit should be wall mounted because it is IP21 certified, which means it is protected from condensation.

Faulty Products

The Eterna adjustable downflow heater is designed to be suitable for bathrooms and shower rooms.
The Eterna adjustable downflow heater is only suitable for zones outside zone 1 and zone 2. The reason is because the downflow heater is only IP21 rated which means the downflow heater will not be suitable near the shower or bath as it would be subjected to water damage.
This heater must be installed so that switches and other controls (except the pull cord) cannot be touched by a person in the bath or shower.
Yes, the supply circuit must be protected by a 30mA RCD if put in a bathroom.
