A coin value for this coin meter device is set to a specific europence per kWh, and once the coin is accepted the remaining credit value will continue to decrease as electricity is used.

This coin operated electricity meter device is highly functional and technologically advanced; it is capable of being used for the resale of electricity or services. In addition, this Euro meter device is ideal for landlords, housing and holiday associates as it is a new and innovative electric coin meter system that is one of the world's most compact.
The Emlite coin operated meters being MID approved indicate how they meet all relevant OFGEM and EU legislation about the rescale of electricity. When in electricity prepayment mode, this coin electric meter showcases options for one or two tariff operations, separately programmable standing charges, and debt collection facilities.
When the electric token meter is in timer mode, the operation can be programmed in one-minute intervals to a maximum of 99 hours and 99 minutes. This makes the Emlite coin meter ideal for controlled services.
A fully electronic validator is used by the coin electric meter for coin acceptance ensuring that there is no loss of revenue because of the use of foreign or fake coins. The validator of the electric coin meter can also be factory programmed for use with various meter coin and token options where there is a large risk of theft.

No, pound coins will not be accepted in this prepayment electric coin meter. Only euros will be accepted therefore, any other foregin and unregnosied tokens will not be accepted.
